Our Story

The Roots of Arroz

The Botana story

BIENVENIDOS

We’re Paco and Sophia – father and daughter, and the family behind Arroz. Paco is originally from Valencia, the home of paella, and has spent decades sharing traditional Spanish cooking through his first restaurant, Casa Paco, bringing the flavours of his hometown to Jersey with recipes inspired by generations before him. I (Sophia) grew up in the restaurant world, watching, learning and eventually stepping into the business with my own vision for what Spanish dining can be today. Arroz is our way of blending tradition with something fresh and modern – authentic paellas, vibrant tapas, great wines and warm hospitality, all served in a space that feels relaxed, welcoming and full of life. For us, it’s not just about the food; it’s about creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable, looked after and excited to come back. Everything we do comes from a place of family, pride and passion. From our family to yours, we can’t wait to welcome you.

BEHIND THE NAME

Rice is at the heart of Spanish cuisine – the foundation of iconic dishes like paella and a symbol of food designed to be shared.

At Arroz, that spirit inspires our menu: bold flavours, carefully chosen wines and dishes meant to be enjoyed together around the table.
